Lifestyle photographer Knoxy Knox just wrapped a two week location shoot with client Outbound Hotels Nature & Adventure Resorts. Locations were Jackson Hole Wyoming, where temperatures ranged from 3 degrees to 35 degrees Fahrenheit, and Mammoth Lakes California; it was a little warmer, with day temperatures reaching almost 40 degrees. Knoxy and her crew’s days were spent schlepping gear on snowmobiles, trudging through waist deep show, braving incredible winds, and protecting expensive video and photo gear from the elements. All the while, Knoxy (wearing her signature red lipstick) kept her cool and managed to create a joyful vibe on set. “It’s a little like being a circus leader,” says Knoxy who shot stills and directed video for the appreciative client. “I love getting out in nature and having to challenge myself.” The highlights from the trip, other than her great crew and group of models, were the four bald eagles, big horn sheep, bison, and elk they saw along the way.
